Sires

The basis of our genetic are A510,  BLU432RR who we call Headstart (an HKF1039 son,) and the great maternal sire YT19--a Cornhusker son from the Chuck Ripley flock.  

A510 is on the Polypay Sire Summary for Weaning Weights.  He was a smaller framed, thick, growthy ram. 

Headstart was on the Polypay Sire Summary for Post Weaning Weights.  He was a big, thick, growthy ram. 

YT19 was on the Polypay Sire Summary for Maternal Milk, Milk and Growth, and Number Born when he died at 9 years old.

WH1157, GVW8001, YEL700 and WHR9103 are our rams of the future.  They originate from the Woodhill, Grandview, and Lambshire flocks.

WH1157, known as Numero Uno, was the NSIP Champion at the 2007 Center of the Nation Sale.  His exceptional numbers have him listed on the most recent Polypay Sire Summary in all categories.  His first daughters came into production in January 2009.

GVW8001 was purchased in Summer 2008.  He has good growth, mothering, and number born epds.   His first daughters in also came into production in January 2010.

YEL700 arrived at Elm Creek Polypay in 2008.  He is a YT19 son born to GRN1093--a great Lambshire ewe.  He was a little guy when he first arrived, being triplet born and triplet raised on drought stricken pasture.   Lambshire was good enough to send him to Minnesota for getting to use YT19.     

YEL700 ’s first lambs will hit the ground in February 2010.  Expect great things from his sons and daughters in 2010.

WHR9103 was purchased at the 2009 Center of the Nation Sale from the Woodhill flock.  He has excellent percent weaned and pounds weaned epds.  His first lambs will hit the ground in February 2010.  Expect great things from his sons and daughters in 2010.
